Mat studied at Waikato University where he gained a Bachelor of Management Studies with majors in Accounting and Finance. Tauranga has been home for Mat for most of his life and he is passionate about supporting local businesses and the Tauranga/BOP region. He has extensive experience with Family Trusts and a special interest in nurturing growth opportunities for small to medium businesses through tax planning, forecasting and structuring as well as providing straightforward, efficient tax and year-end accounting processes. In his down time, Mat enjoys social sports, time with friends and family and makes the most of life in the Bay of Plenty. Mat's two young children keep him on his toes at home. Mat is a Trustee of the Bay of Plenty Youth Development Trust (BOPYDT), who’s focus is improving the lives of young people in the Tauranga area.
